Melissa Goff, PharmD, MBA, Vice President of Outpatient Pharmacy at Avera Health

Melissa Goff, PharmD, MBA serves as the Vice President of Outpatient Pharmacy at Avera Health which is a regional health system comprised of more than 330 locations in 100 communities throughout central and eastern South Dakota and areas of four surrounding states. In this role Melissa provides direction and oversight for the outpatient pharmacy departments for the Avera Health system, which includes Retail pharmacy, Specialty pharmacy, Compounding pharmacy, Long Term Care pharmacy and Home Infusion. She also oversees the 340B program for the Avera Health system which includes 36 participating sites.

Melissa received her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Arizona State University and PharmD and MBA from Creighton University. She then went on to complete a PGY-1 residency in hospital practice at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Since that time Melissa has practiced pharmacy and leadership in a number of roles including inpatient clinical pharmacy, Pharmacy Residency Coordinator, Pharmacy Operations Manager, and Pharmacy Operation Director prior to moving over to outpatient pharmacy where she has focused her time on expanding pharmacy services in an effort to support patients and their medication therapy as they transition out of the hospital and clinic settings.
