Gary Kerr

Chief Pharmacy Officer

Gary J. Kerr is the former Chief Pharmacy Officer at Baystate Health in Springfield, Massachusetts. He received his B.S. and Pharm.D. at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and a Master’s in Business Administration (Health Care) at Western New England College. He also attended St. George’s University School of Medicine. He has over forty-five years of progressive clinical and leadership experience in various Pharmacy settings including retail, hospital, managed care and specialty pharmacy. He also practices as an independent pharmacy consultant and expert witness and holds adjunct faculty positions at the University of Connecticut and the Mass. College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University (MCPHSU). He has been a member of the Board of Trustees at MCPHSU since 2009. Additionally, he has served as the President of the Massachusetts Society of Health Systems Pharmacists and remains active with the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists as well. He currently serves in a committee leadership capacity with Premier Inc.

Dr. Kerr’s primary interest areas include pharmacy strategy, business development and innovation, as well as pharmacy leadership, supply chain, and specialty pharmacy.
